THE EVENT

MUST DO

Nassau and Paradise Island have long been the place for weddings and honeymooners. Not any more. It is fast becoming a new party haven for breakers who want something new and different. People who are looking for that island thing. Its popularity lies in the fact that Nassau and PI are riddled with world-class casinos and resorts. Lavish all- inclusive hotels have popped up all over the island and are bringing in more people than ever before. Paradise Island is also home to the wildest hotel casino this side of Vegas. The Atlanis Resort and casino is literally built around 40 acres of aquarium and over 100 species of exotic tropical fish, in the world's largest fish habitat, this is something you have to experience, after you spend all your cash at the casino of course!

If you do happen to wake up early enough, an offered excursion is Blue lagoon Island. DO NOT MISS..swimming with the Dolphins and Stingray city you have to see this little slice of paradise untouched by the major resorts..................A must!

CLUBS

Nassau's clubs are not the best we've seen, but do tend to get wild, all do to that island mentality. They tend to be further out and not all within walking distance, but with outdoor "backyards", and definitely give you the island feeling. The island rhythm is the main attraction. To get around is mostly by taxis and also the bus which unfortunately does not run passed 11pm

ATTRACTIONS

PARTIES

Beaches- there are beaches on both the North and the South shores of Nassau. There is the Lighthouse Beach, Saunders Beach Caves Beach. Cabbage Beach is one of the most popular ones in Paradise Island.
Casinos- The Sports Book, Crystal Palace Casino in Nassau and on Paradise Island there is Paradise Island Casino and the Atlantis Casino&Resort...18 to gamble and drink...the casinos are where the party's at BEFORE you go out to party!!
Banks- If you need to change money they are open from Monday-Thursday 930am-300pm and 9-5 on Fridays. The major banks in the Bahamas are Canadian. The Bahamian dollar is at par with the USD and does not change. US dollar is taken everywhere.
Shopping- The shops in Nassau are Monday- Friday from 9-5pm and most of them are closed on Sundays. Duty Free is the key word with tons of world class shops at amazing prices....NO TAX....Good places to shop are:
There is world class shopping thanks to the cruise ships, with the famous straw market which is a must visit. There are many little places to shop cheap to buy anything you desire and Bahamas is a place unlike the other spring break destinations because you don't find as many American chains like Cancun or Acapulco }

EATS Restaurants are like in the US but with a little twist. Seafood - CONCH - is to be had everywhere. Prices are a little expensive, especially for the fine dining..........Peace and Plenty The Two Turtles, Big D's Conch Spot, Buena Vista,Cellar Restaurant
Locals' Tip ..Paradise Island truly has earned its name. The beaches are picture perfect. Tons of places to get lost. There's a reason why Cindy Crawford got married here on the beach. The Casinos are taking up most the space on the island, so if you want to stay way from the $$ action stay in Nassau. If not cross the bridge and get ready to go all night!!!!Take the ferry to paradise as walking will kill you and taxis are expensive. Go down to the pier behind the straw market and ask on of the boat runners to take you across. Great way to see the seaway!! }
